Cook the pasta according to the package directions.

While the pasta is cooking, whisk together the heavy cream, pesto, Parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper in a large skillet or saucepan.

Drain the pasta and add it to the skillet with the sauce.

Stir until the pasta is well coated and heated through.

Serve immediately with grilled chicken or shrimp, if desired.
Tips:
For a creamier sauce, use more heavy cream.
If you don’t have pesto, you can make your own by blending together basil leaves, garlic, olive oil, pine nuts, and Parmesan cheese.
You can also add other vegetables to this dish, such as sun-dried tomatoes, spinach, or bell peppers.
Serve with crusty bread to soak up the sauce.
