Creamy Pesto PastaIngredients:
1 pound pasta (such as penne, rotini, or spaghetti) 1/2 cup fresh basil leaves 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese 1/4 cup olive oil 2 cloves garlic, minced 1/2 cup heavy cream Salt and pepper to tasteInstructions:

Cook the pasta according to the package directions.

While the pasta is cooking, make the pesto.
In a food processor or blender, combine the basil, Parmesan cheese, olive oil, garlic, and a pinch of salt and pepper.
Pulse until smooth.

Drain the pasta and return it to the pot.
Pour the pesto over the pasta and stir to combine.

In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream over medium heat until it just starts to bubble.

Pour the hot cream over the pasta and pesto mixture and stir until combined.

Season with additional salt and pepper to taste.
Tips:
For a richer flavor, use freshly grated Parmesan cheese.
If you don’t have a food processor or blender, you can chop the basil and garlic finely by hand.
For a creamier sauce, add more heavy cream.
You can add other vegetables to this dish, such as broccoli florets, zucchini, or sun-dried tomatoes.
Serve with a glass of white wine or a green salad.
