Homemade PizzaIngredients:

To Make the Dough:
1.
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, yeast, and salt.

Add the lukewarm water and stir until a dough forms.
3.
Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.

Form the dough into a ball, place it in a lightly greased bowl, and cover with plastic wrap.

Let the dough rise in a warm place for 1-2 hours, or until doubled in size.
To Make the Sauce:
1.
In a medium saucepan, heat a drizzle of olive oil over medium heat.

Add the onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

Add the garlic and cook for another minute.
4.
Stir in the crushed tomatoes, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper.
5.
Bring to a simmer and cook for 15 minutes, or until thickened.
To Assemble the Pizza:

Preheat the oven to 500°F (260°C).

On a lightly floured surface, stretch or roll out the dough into a 12-inch (30cm) circle.

Transfer the dough to a greased baking sheet.

Spread the tomato sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a 1-inch (2.

Bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Tips:
For a crispier crust, preheat your baking sheet in the oven before adding the pizza.

Don’t overload the pizza with toppings, or it will become soggy.
Let the pizza cool for a few minutes before slicing to prevent the cheese from sliding off.
