Classic LasagnaIngredients:
For the Sauce:

– 1 package (12 ounces) lasagna noodles- 1 cup (8 ounces) ricotta cheese- 1 cup (8 ounces) cottage cheese- 1 egg, beaten- 1/2 cup chopped fresh parsley- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheeseInstructions:
For the Sauce:

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

Add the onion and garlic and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

Add the ground beef and sausage and cook until browned.

For the Lasagna:

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).

In a large bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, cottage cheese, egg, parsley, and Parmesan cheese.

Spread 1 cup of sauce in the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish.

Top with 6 lasagna noodles.

Spread with half of the ricotta mixture.

Repeat with another layer of noodles, sauce, and ricotta mixture.

Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.

Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the noodles are tender.
Tips:
– For a richer flavor, use a combination of ground beef and ground pork in the sauce.
– Add a layer of spinach or sliced mushrooms to the lasagna for extra nutrition.
– Let the lasagna rest for 10-15 minutes before cutting and serving to allow the flavors to meld.
