For the Lasagna Noodles:
– 1 box (9 ounces) of lasagne noodles, cooked al dente- 2 tablespoons of olive oilFor the Meat Sauce:
– 1 pound ground beef- 1 pound Italian sausage, removed from casing- 1 onion, chopped- 2 cloves garlic, minced- 1 (28-ounce) can of crushed tomatoes- 1 (15-ounce) can of tomato sauce- 1 (15-ounce) can of diced tomatoes, undrained- 1 tablespoon dried oregano- 1 tablespoon dried basil- 1 teaspoon sugar- 1 teaspoon salt- 1/2 teaspoon black pepperFor the Bechamel Sauce:
– 3 tablespoons unsalted butter- 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour- 3 cups milk, warmed- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg- 1/4 teaspoon salt- 1/4 teaspoon black pepperFor the Assembly:
– 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheeseInstructions:

Prepare the Lasagna Noodles:
– Cook the lasagna noodles according to the package directions.
– Drain the noodles and toss them with olive oil to prevent sticking.

Make the Meat Sauce:
– In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef and Italian sausage.
– Add the onion and garlic to the skillet and cook until softened.
– Pour in the crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, oregano, basil, sugar, salt, and pepper.
– Bring the sauce to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 15-20 minutes until thickened.

Make the Bechamel Sauce:
– In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter.
– Whisk in the flour and cook for 1 minute.
– Gradually whisk in the warm milk until smooth.
– Bring the sauce to a simmer and cook for 10-15 minutes until thickened.
– Season with nutmeg, salt, and black pepper.

Assemble the Lasagna:
– Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
– Spread 1 cup of meat sauce in the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish.
– Top with half of the cooked lasagna noodles.
– Spread with half of the bechamel sauce.
– Sprinkle with half of the mozzarella cheese and cheddar cheese.
– Repeat the layers.
– Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.

– Bake for 30-40 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the sauce is heated through.
– Let rest for 15 minutes before serving.
