Classic Shepherd’s PieIngredients:
For the Meat Mixture:
1 pound ground beef 1 onion, chopped 2 carrots, chopped 2 celery stalks, chopped 2 cloves garlic, minced 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce 2 teaspoons dried thyme 1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary 1 cup beef broth Salt and pepper to tasteFor the Mashed Potatoes:
2 pounds russet potatoes, peeled and cubed 1/2 cup milk 1/4 cup butter 1/4 cup sour cream Salt and pepper to tasteInstructions:

Prepare the Meat Mixture:
In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat.
Drain any excess fat.

Add the onion, carrots, celery, and garlic to the skillet and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

Stir in the Worcestershire sauce, thyme, rosemary, beef broth, salt, and pepper.
Bring to a simmer and cook until the liquid has reduced by half, about 15 minutes.

Prepare the Mashed Potatoes:
Place the potatoes in a large pot of cold water.
Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to medium and simmer until the potatoes are tender, about 15 minutes.

Drain the potatoes and mash until smooth.
Stir in the milk, butter, sour cream, salt, and pepper.

Assemble the Shepherd’s Pie:
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

Spread the meat mixture evenly into an 8-inch square baking dish.

Top with the mashed potatoes, spreading it out to evenly cover the meat.

Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the potatoes are golden brown and the meat is heated through.
10.
Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
