Creamy Pesto PastaIngredients:
1 pound pasta (such as penne, rotini, or farfalle) 1 cup fresh basil leaves 1/2 cup pine nuts 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese 1/4 cup olive oil 1/4 cup heavy cream 2 cloves garlic, minced Salt and pepper to tasteInstructions:

Cook the pasta according to the package instructions.

While the pasta is cooking, make the pesto by placing the basil leaves, pine nuts, Parmesan cheese, olive oil, and garlic in a food processor.
Pulse until smooth.

Drain the pasta and return it to the pot.

Pour the pesto sauce over the pasta and stir to coat.

Add the heavy cream and stir until the sauce is creamy and smooth.

Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Serve immediately topped with additional Parmesan cheese if desired.
Tips:
For a more intense pesto flavor, roast the pine nuts in a skillet for a few minutes before adding to the food processor.
To make a vegan version, replace the Parmesan cheese with nutritional yeast.
Add grilled chicken or shrimp to the pasta for a protein boost.
Serve with a side of crusty bread to soak up all the delicious sauce.
