Creamy Tomato Basil PastaIngredients:
1 pound penne pasta 1 tablespoon olive oil 1 onion, chopped 2 cloves garlic, minced 1 (28 ounce) can diced tomatoes 1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce 1/2 cup heavy cream 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese Salt and pepper to tasteInstructions:

Cook pasta according to package directions.

While pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Add onion and cook until softened about 5 minutes.

Add garlic and cook for 1 minute more.

Stir in diced tomatoes and tomato sauce.
Bring to a simmer and cook for 15 minutes, or until sauce has thickened.

Add heavy cream and basil.
Stir to combine.

Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Add cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat.

Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and serve immediately.
Tips:
For a richer flavor, use homemade marinara sauce instead of canned tomato sauce.
Add other vegetables to the sauce, such as mushrooms, zucchini, or bell peppers.
If you don’t have fresh basil, use 1 tablespoon dried basil instead.
