Creamy Tomato Basil PastaIngredients:
1 pound dried penne pasta 1/4 cup olive oil 1 medium yellow onion, chopped 3 cloves garlic, minced 28-ounce can crushed tomatoes 1/2 cup heavy cream 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil leaves Salt and pepper to tasteInstructions:

Cook the penne pasta according to the package directions.

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.

Add the onion and garlic and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

Stir in the crushed tomatoes, heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, basil leaves, salt, and pepper.

Bring to a simmer and cook for 15-20 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened.

Drain the pasta and add it to the skillet with the sauce.

Toss to combine and cook for 2-3 minutes more, or until the pasta is heated through.

Serve immediately, garnished with additional Parmesan cheese and basil leaves, if desired.
Tips:
You can use any type of pasta you like in this recipe.
Add a pinch of red pepper flakes for a little extra heat.
If you don’t have heavy cream, you can substitute milk or broth.
Serve with a side of garlic bread for dipping.
