Creamy Tuscan Sausage PastaIngredients:
1 pound penne pasta 1 pound Italian sausage (mild or hot) 1/2 cup chopped onion 3 cloves minced garlic 1 (15 ounce) can diced tomatoes (undrained) 1/2 cup heavy cream 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese 1/4 cup chopped fresh basilInstructions:

Cook the pasta according to package directions.

Brown the Italian sausage over medium heat.
Drain off any excess grease.

Add the onion and garlic to the pan with the sausage and cook until softened.

Stir in the tomatoes, heavy cream, and Parmesan cheese.
Bring to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes.

Drain the pasta and add it to the sauce.
Toss to coat.
6.
Stir in the basil and serve immediately.
Tips:
You can also use ground beef or turkey instead of Italian sausage.
Add a pinch of red pepper flakes for some extra heat.
If you don’t have heavy cream, you can use milk or half-and-half.
Garnish with additional Parmesan cheese and chopped parsley before serving.
