Brown Butter Chocolate Chip CookiesIngredients:

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a large saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter.
Continue to cook, stirring occasionally, until the butter turns a deep amber color and smells nutty, about 5-7 minutes.

Remove the saucepan from heat and let cool for 5 minutes.
Stir in the granulated sugar and brown sugar until well combined.

Beat in the egg, egg yolk, and vanilla extract.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.

Stir in the chocolate chips.

Scoop the dough into 1 1/2-inch balls.
Place on the prepared baking sheet, spacing 2 inches apart.

Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden brown.

Let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Tips:
For chewier cookies, bake for 10 minutes.
For crispier cookies, bake for 12 minutes.
If you don’t have parchment paper, you can grease the baking sheet with butter or cooking spray.
Let the dough chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before baking for a richer flavor and thicker cookies.
