Easy Chicken TeriyakiIngredients:
1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces 1/2 cup soy sauce 1/4 cup mirin (sweet sake) 1/4 cup brown sugar 1 tablespoon sesame oil 1 teaspoon ground ginger 1 teaspoon garlic powder 1/4 cup cornstarch 1/4 cup water 1 tablespoon green onions, thinly slicedInstructions:

In a medium bowl, combine the chicken pieces with the soy sauce, mirin, brown sugar, sesame oil, ginger, and garlic powder.
Mix well and let marinate for at least 30 minutes.

In a small bowl, whisk together the cornstarch and water until dissolved.

Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
Drain the chicken from the marinade and add it to the pan.
Cook until browned on all sides, about 5-7 minutes.

Pour the reserved marinade into the pan and bring to a simmer.
Stir in the cornstarch mixture and cook until thickened, about 1-2 minutes.

Serve the chicken teriyaki hot, garnished with green onions.
Tips:
For a sweeter flavor, add an extra tablespoon of brown sugar.
For a spicier flavor, add a pinch of red pepper flakes.
Serve with rice or noodles for a complete meal.
