Spaghetti with MeatballsIngredients:
For the meatballs:
– 1 pound ground beef- 1/2 pound ground pork- 1/2 cup bread crumbs- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese- 1 egg, beaten- 1/4 cup chopped onion- 1/4 cup chopped parsley- 1 teaspoon dried oregano- Salt and pepper to tasteFor the sauce:
– 1 (28-ounce) can crushed tomatoes- 1 (15-ounce) can tomato sauce- 1 tablespoon tomato paste- 1 teaspoon dried basil- Salt and pepper to tasteFor the pasta:
– 1 pound spaghettiInstructions:
Make the meatballs:

In a large bowl, combine all of the meatball ingredients.
Mix well until everything is evenly combined.

Form the mixture into 1-inch meatballs.
Make the sauce:

In a large saucepan, combine the crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, tomato paste, and basil.
Season with salt and pepper.

Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened.
Cook the pasta:

In a large pot of salted water, bring the pasta to a boil.

Cook according to the package directions until al dente (tender but still firm to the bite).
Assemble the dish:

Add the meatballs to the sauce and simmer for 30 minutes, or until the meatballs are cooked through.

Drain the pasta and add it to the sauce.
Toss to coat.

Serve the spaghetti with meatballs immediately, topped with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
