Homemade Chicken Noodle SoupIngredients:
1 whole chicken (3-4 pounds) 1 large onion, chopped 4 carrots, chopped 4 celery stalks, chopped 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon pepper 12 cups chicken broth 8 ounces egg noodlesInstructions:

Place the chicken in a large pot and cover with cold water.

Bring to a boil over high heat.
Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for 15 minutes.

Remove the chicken from the pot and let cool slightly.

Add the onion, carrots, celery, salt, and pepper to the pot with the broth.
Bring to a boil over high heat.
Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for 15 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender.
5.
Remove the chicken from the bones and shred the meat.
Add the chicken meat back to the pot.
6.
Add the egg noodles and cook according to package directions.
Tips:
For a richer flavor, add a bay leaf or two to the pot while simmering the chicken.
You can use any type of noodles you like in this soup.
If you don’t have any egg noodles, you can use pasta or rice.
Serve the soup hot with your favorite toppings, such as chopped parsley, grated Parmesan cheese, or oyster crackers.
