Make the Dough:
1.
In a large bowl, combine the flour, yeast, sugar, and salt.

Gradually add the warm water and stir until the dough comes together.
3.
Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead for 5-7 minutes, or until the dough becomes smooth and elastic.
4.
Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
Make the Sauce:
1.
In a medium saucepan, combine the crushed tomatoes, onion, garlic, oregano, basil, sugar, salt, and pepper.

Bring to a simmer and cook for 15 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened.
Assemble the Pizza:

Preheat your oven to 450°F.

Punch down the dough and divide it in half.
3.
Roll out each half into a 12-inch circle.
4.
Spread the tomato sauce evenly over each circle, leaving a 1-inch border.
5.
Top with mozzarella cheese and your desired toppings.

Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
