In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat.
Drain off any excess grease.

Add the onion, green bell pepper, and red bell pepper to the skillet and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

Stir in the black beans, corn, tomatoes, taco seasoning, water, chili powder (if using), and cumin (if using).
Bring to a simmer and cook for 15 minutes, or until the flavors have blended.

Serve the chili with your favorite toppings.
Tips:
For a spicier chili, add more chili powder or cumin.
To make the chili vegetarian, replace the ground beef with an equal amount of crumbled tofu.
If you don’t have any taco seasoning on hand, you can make your own by combining 1 tablespoon chili powder, 1 teaspoon ground cumin, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and 1/4 teaspoon black pepper.
This chili can be made ahead of time and reheated when ready to serve.
