Homemade Pizza with Pepperoni and MushroomsIngredients:
For the dough:
1 1/2 cups (180g) all-purpose flour, plus more for dusting 1 teaspoon active dry yeast 1 teaspoon sugar 1 teaspoon salt 1/2 cup (120ml) warm waterFor the sauce:
1 (28-ounce) can crushed tomatoes 1/2 onion, finely chopped 2 cloves garlic, minced 1 teaspoon dried oregano 1/2 teaspoon dried basil 1/4 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon black pepperFor the toppings:
1 cup (120g) shredded mozzarella cheese 1/2 cup (60g) pepperoni slices 1/2 cup (60g) sliced mushroomsInstructions:
For the dough:

In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, yeast, sugar, and salt.

Gradually add the warm water and stir until a dough forms.
3.
Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.

Form the dough into a ball, place it in an oiled bowl, and cover with plastic wrap.
Let rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
For the sauce:
1.
In a saucepan, combine the crushed tomatoes, onion, garlic, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper.

Bring to a simmer and cook for 15 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened.
To assemble the pizza:
1.
Preheat oven to 500°F (260°C).

Punch down the risen dough and divide it into 2 equal parts.

Roll out each dough into a 12-inch (30cm) circle.

Spread the prepared sauce over the dough circles, leaving a 1-inch (2.
5cm) border.
5.
Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce.
6.
Arrange the pepperoni slices and mushrooms on top of the cheese.
7.
Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Tips:
For a crispier crust, bake the pizza stone or baking sheet in the oven before adding the dough.
You can add any other toppings you like, such as onions, bell peppers, or olives.
Let the pizza cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
